2010 Class Schedule 

COMMERCIAL MARINE RADIO OPERATOR 1-DAY CLASS

Taught through Orange Coast College School of Sailing & Seamanship in Newport Beach, California. SSB, VHF, and license prep, with test that afternoon.  Pick a date and call Gordo to get enrolled. Choose your date!  Gordo makes learning marine radio operation FUN with live demos!  

Classes scheduled for Thursday, Feb 18; Thursday, May 20; Thursday, Aug 26; Thursday, Nov 20 (last class of the year).  Call Gordo at 714-549-5000 during the day for details!  

TECHNICIAN CLASS AMATEUR LICENSE

Beginner HAM RADIO Technician Class on May 22 & 23, Saturday and Sunday, in Santa Ana, California. Free instruction from Gordo. Class materials about $60 plus $15 test fee.  Final exam on Sunday afternoon. Call Gordo direct to enroll at 714-549-5000.

GENERAL CLASS AMATEUR LICENSE

General Class license upgrade, June 5 & 6, Saturday and Sunday, in Santa Ana, California.  Free instruction from Gordo. Materials about $75 plus $15 test fee.  Final exam on Sunday afternoon. You must hold a TECHNICIAN license to take this GENERAL upgrade class.  Call Gordo direct to enroll at 714-549-5000.

GENERAL CLASS  INFORMATION

Most classes throughout the coming year are held at the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross, at 4th Street, Santa Ana, California.  (unless otherwise stated).  Tests administered on Sunday afternoon in class by a team of certified Volunteer Examiners from both ARRL as well as W5YI VEC, courtesy of the CLARA repeater system 145.220 MHz.  Pre-registration is required well before class time!  To sign up, call Gordon West for your "interview" on radio operating at 714-549-5000 Mon-Fri, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
